On Wednesday 16th November we walked to Haigh Hall in order to raise money for children in need. Everyone had a fantastic time and it was a lovely morning. As well as having a lot of fun we raised over £200 for Children in Need. A huge thank you to all the parents and children who gave so generously!

We planned a fair test and carried out each test three times for improved accuracy. At the end of the test we found out that the water travelled the greatest distance in 30 seconds and that in the same time the tomato sauce didn’t move at all! We also learnt a new scientific word – viscosity.

World of Glass

Author: Mrs Thompson | Filed under: Uncategorized

On Friday 15th September we visited the World of Glass at St. Helens. It was a fantastic day and we had the opportunity to paint a glass, visit the old glassworks, find out how glass is manufactured, visit the museum to find out how the production of glass has changed through history and watch a glass blowing demonstration. We have displayed our painted glass in the classroom along with a hand blown glass dish that they gave us.
